Representing KME on the National Stage
Kerry Mechanical Engineering is proud to announce that Jack O’Keeffe will represent us in the WorldSkills Ireland 2025 Industrial Mechanics Competition taking place at the RDS, Dublin from September 17th. This prestigious event brings together the country’s most talented apprentices and young tradespeople to showcase their skills across a wide range of mechanical and engineering disciplines.
Testing a Full Range of Skills
The competition is designed to test expertise in areas that mirror the real demands of modern industry. Over 20 hours of assessment, competitors will be challenged in fabrication and welding, stainless steel tube bending, gearbox disassembly and reassembly, CNC machining, and fluid power systems including pneumatics and hydraulics.
“Precision, safety, and technical ability are at the core of every task, making this a true measure of an engineer’s capability.”
A Reflection of KME’s Standards
At KME, we see Jack’s involvement as a reflection of the standards we set across our own services in fabrication, welding, shotblasting, painting, machining, and precision engineering. Training and development have always been central to our business, and we are committed to nurturing the next generation of skilled engineers. We wish Jack every success as he takes on this exciting challenge, and we look forward to supporting him as he demonstrates the high level of craftsmanship that Kerry Mechanical Engineering is known for!
