Kerry Mechanical Engineering - Ireland's Metal Fabrication & Precision Engineering Experts - Irish Steel Awards Finalist

Public Support Helps Us Reach the Finals

Kerry Mechanical Engineering (KME) is proud to share that we have reached the finals at the Irish Steel Awards 2025 in the Constructional Steelwork – Civil Works category. What makes this achievement even more special is that this shortlist was picked through a first round public vote, and we are truly grateful to everyone who supported us. Your votes have helped us reach the shortlist and we appreciate the confidence shown in our team and our work.

A Project That Showcases Our Expertise

The project recognised is the 10-tonne pipe bridge installation at Tarbert Power Station in Co. Kerry. This was a complex piece of work that combined several of our core services: fabrication, welding, shotblasting, painting, machining and precision engineering. From producing detailed drawings to carrying out the heavy fabrication, surface preparation and coating, followed by transport and final installation over a demanding marine environment, the project tested every skill and resource we have. Reaching the shortlist is a reflection of the dedication, teamwork and technical ability that our people bring to each stage of a project.

Setting Standards in Steelwork and Engineering

Being recognised by the Irish Steel Awards highlights KME’s role as a trusted provider of industrial fabrication, structural steelwork and precision machining. Our ISO 9001 and EN 1090 certifications, combined with advanced facilities for shotblasting, spray painting, CNC machining and tube laser cutting, give us the capability to take on projects of any scale. We are proud to be named alongside other leaders in the industry and we look forward to representing Kerry in this category at the awards ceremony on October 17th at The Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise.
