KME brings home Silver at the Irish Steel Awards 2025

We’re delighted to announce that Kerry Mechanical Engineering was named runner-up at this year’s Irish Steel Awards. Earlier this year, one of our projects was shortlisted, which in itself was a big achievement. After that, it went to a public vote, and thanks to a big show of support we made it through to the finals. We were up against some really amazing projects from all over Ireland and the UK, so to take the 2nd spot was a proud moment for us.

The awards ceremony took place in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise, on Friday 17 October, and a few of us were lucky enough to head up for the night. It was a brilliant evening – good food, great company, and a proper celebration of the steel and fabrication industry in Ireland.

This recognition is a nod to the hard work our team puts in every day, from the workshop operators to the people planning and delivering projects behind the scenes. It’s also a reminder that we’re on the right path, delivering proper, high-quality work for clients across construction, energy, utilities, and engineering.

We’re grateful to everyone who voted for us and supported us along the way, thanks a million. We’re already looking forward to what comes next.
